Vacancy Announcement! OST REDA - Board Seats

In accordance with OST Law (OST Ord. 09-18) the Oglala Sioux Tribe Renewable Energy Development Authority (OST REDA) is advertising (4) Board of Director Seats and (1) alternate position. Two of the positions are in fulfillment of recently vacated seats: these will entail the remainder of six year terms scheduled to conclude January 2016. Two of the positions will be for the entire six years: terminating in the year 2019. One person will be selected to be an alternate to any of the aforementioned terms as well as any existing Board of Director positions.
Board Members are required to meet once a month and will engage in contract negotiation, critical thinking and decision making with the intent to provide renewable energy/green energy to the OST Membership with respect to the bio-cultural integrity of the Lakota people, lands, and traditions.

Tribal Council Discusses Issues with Former Senator Dorgan

On Friday OST Tribal Council members sat down with former North Dakota Senator Byron Dorgan to discuss issues concerning a wide range of needs for our reservation’s youth. The visit came about by way of a phone conversation with former Senator Dorgan and the Center Native American Youth. The president’s office finalized the coordination for Senator Dorgan’s visit to Pine Ridge during President Brewer’s visit to DC during the week of April 23, 2013.
